Adv. Ooi Wei Qian is a distinguished legal professional and the Founder and Principal of, The Chambers of Ooi Wei Qian, in Malaysia; she has specialized in Arbitration, Construction Law, and Commercial Dispute Resolution. She previously served as Senior Case Counsel at the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), managing over 900 cases across arbitration, adjudication, mediation, and domain name disputes. She played a pivotal role in reforming Malaysia’s Arbitration Act 2005 and CIPAA 2012 and was instrumental in establishing the AIAC Court of Arbitration.

Ooi Wei Qian joined Callidus, Malaysia, as an Associate Partner, in 2025 and has been acting as Callidus Legal Counsel in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, on complex commercial disputes, arbitration proceedings, maritime matters and strategic legal frameworks, for clients across various sectors, in the region.

Adv. Ooi Wei Qian holds a BA (Hons) in Law and Economics from the University of Kent and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London. She is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya and is also called to the Bar of England and Wales (Middle Temple).
